What are ACP Faced Aluminium Honeycomb Panels?

ACP Faced Aluminium Honeycomb Panel is a sandwich structure consisted of 3 main components: the top skin sheet is a 2mm thick ACP (aluminium composite panel), while the bottom layer is aluminium sheet, and then laminated to a hexagonal hollow honeycomb core by using two components PU glue.

This product is a variant product from traditional aluminium honeycomb panel. By replacing the top skin sheet with ACP (aluminium composite panel), we can add more benefits to the product, such as better heat insulation & better sound insulation, but to keep a very high panel strength. The 2mm thick ACP face sheet itself is a composite material, it has a plastic core which has low heat transition coefficient and reduce the heat transfer. Such a credit can make this innovative product to be suitable for project applications whereas the traditional aluminium honeycomb panel can not provide enough thermal insulation.

What are the features of ACP Faced Aluminium Honeycomb Panels?

1. Good anti-corrosion. This panel is mainly made with aluminium alloy which provides very excellent anti-corrosion property. While the ACP face sheet is coated with durable paint to prevent the aluminium alloy from being oxidized. This gives the product a long life-span. 

2. Light in weight. Even for thick panels, the unit weight per square meter is small. Because the core layer is lightweight hollow honeycomb core, it ensures the finished product to be rigid but very light in weight.

3. High panel strength. The honeycomb core structure simulates the natural beehive structure, as the hexagonal structure provides good rigidity and much strength support to ACP face sheet.

4. Good flatness. The 2mm ACP face sheet itself is a smooth and flat material, and with the further support from the honeycomb substrate, the whole panel will be super flat.

5. Eco-friendly material. ACP faced aluminium honeycomb panel can be fully recycled after its service life, as both the aluminium & plastic can be separated and recycled.

6. Easy cutting & installation. This panel can be cut by regular saws or table saws for customized cutting. And installation can be joined by compatible shape of aluminium extrusions.
